In 2018, she opened her own studio to focus more on special art and design projects. Bohnenberg’s work for Villeroy&Boch Fliesen GmbH, ASA Selection and Ritzenhoff has received several design awards in recent years. The 250°C spice mortar was added to the collection of MoMa’s design shop in New York.
In 2010 she completed her diploma as an industrial designer with the additional qualification in ceramic / glass designer at the University of Art and Design Halle, Germany.
Glass and ceramics are recurring materials in Romi's designs. The development of innovative, trend-oriented products is her main concern. Aesthetics and function in combination with high-quality materials form the core of her work.
